This is quite random - considering it's been over 4 months since my last post... And to be perfectly honest I have no idea what I'm really going to type about, so this should be a good'n!

I must say, life's good at the moment, and I think we are all in a good "state". Xander's almost 2, and although he's getting the constant tantrums - he's still so much fun to be with, and often brings a smile to my face on those really shitty days.

We're spending a lot of time with my sis-in-law and her boyfriend - when I say sis-in-law it's really in name only, I call her my 'sis' cause I think (she'd agree I'm sure) we're pretty close. Anyway, they come over a fair bit and we have a really good time, whether they come over for dinner or just to pop in an say hi. There's no point to this story, I just like it.

I might add more later... I don't know...

It's only 2 days since the election has been call - and I'm already sick of it. Maybe it's me, but the cynicism creeps in around this time.

We've got two parties who profess they care about everything under the sun, but really couldn't give a shit about anything except getting elected/re-elected.

I don't profess to be a Labor or Liberal voter (I do lean a certain direction) but I feel I'm not swayed because my parents voted a certain way, or I've voted this party for the majority of my life, so I will blindly follow them regardless. I have noticed though, that if you do say something anti Liberal or Howard your are absolutely gone off at - and labeled un-Australian and you want the worse for your country. There is a quote by some American (it might have been Thomas Jefferson or Ben Franklin - I don't know) - I'll para-phrase here, but I think it rings true:

"...it’s your duty to always question your government anyway, at every turn. A patriot is loyal to his country and his countrymen, not his government..."

Love it.

The Corolla has finally left home - and I must say even though it's only a car, I still miss it. After owning her for 7 years now, you tend to become very much at one with the car, I knew exactly what it could do around corners, or when the optimum time was to change gear - and even though the clutch was starting to go (in the end it revved like a mad woman when you changed gears) I knew how to coax it, so there was minimum revs. I did enjoy driving it. When I dropped her off to get traded in, one of the guys there, started opening stuff and checking out the engine, I seriously had to hold myself back to try and drag him away - "My Car!!!" anyway, I don't even know what they'll do to her - probably spare parts me thinks.

We traded in for a Subaru Forester, so so now Jen can drive it around now, I'm still yet to drive it enough to know it's limitations, and so forth but at the moment it seems like a respectable vehicle.

I've been sick as a dog the last 3 days... Goddam temp, feeling sick, blocked nose. Arghhh! Off to the quack tomorrow to see if he can help me. Gone on too long.

Well it's just gone 11pm, I'm off to bed. G'night.

Well then, I'm hunting for a new car - finally have the go-ahead from the consortium - I've got a pretty good idea of what I want to get, I drove it today and I must say was quite impressed. My dad came with me, and apart from the criticism of the colour (black) he also thought it was a good car (this is ALOT coming from my dad - anyone who knows him, knows he finds fault with almost everything).

I thought it was funny today, when I was looking for my last car (2000), I hardly used the net, it was the usual driving to a million different car yards, getting molested by 2 million different sales men, and by the end of the day you really did feel sodomized. This time, I've spoken to 2 car sales men, only felt sodomized by one. All's good!

Otherwise not much else to report at the moment - I'm stuffed - had a long day, ready for g'nights.

It's been 4 long months - I'm still here for anyone that actually cares.

I'm finding quite hard to put anything down that anyone would find interesting - I mean, apart from my family, who gives a shit what I get up to each and every day?

However I did say at the very start of this blog that I would try and keep this going... so let's give it another red hot go...

Life's good. We've now been in our home now for for near 7 months and we're all doing well. Xander's nearly 19 months old and is growing into a great little boy - he's very easy going (just like me). He's just recovering from a cold, but all in all, he's doing a bang-up effort.

I'm saving like a madman to get a new computer - I'm going to get an absolute beast - I'm about 5 weeks out from the proper fundage - it'll go like a spanked cat.

I'm now also firmly entrenched in Facebook - so if you want to (and I know you - don't bother if you're a random, that's what MySpace is for) add me to your list.

Nothing much else has happened in my world... we'll see if I blog again soon...

I saw my two sister-in-laws off at the airport last Tuesday... arghh, so jealous - I wish I was going - oh well, can't complain - was in NZ in December.

Roosters finally got their 1000th win on Wednesday! Woohoo, about friggin time! How long have been waiting? Since last August... anyway it's a positive...

Christ I'm stuffed today. Not because of yesterday, just late night's. Early night for me tonight me thinks.

I had a really great day with the X-Man yesterday, he must've known it was his birthday cause he didn't want to sleep at all.

I don't have really much to say today, we're slowly getting things sorted in the house - christ there are some boxes. But we're all enjoying the new surroundings which is good for all involved.

The clean up for our new place has begun... We spent this weekend cleaning the house, the
kitchen was largely my domain. By the looks of the photos I was finishing off the cupboard in the corner... the door you see leads directly to the garage... Ahhh the luxury... We also bought our new dishwasher yesterday, so delivery should be sometime in the middle of the week... it's all happening now... We're hoping to move in permanently the weekend after next... but will have to see.

OK, it's been quite a while since I've posted. Why haven't I... Hmmm, good question. I think mainly cause I couldn't be stuffed. Now, I'm not saying just cause I've started a post again, that I'm back to regular posting - to be quite honest, to write about your day/week, sometimes gets tedious, not just for me - but for the reader (if anyone of you are out there).

A lot's been happening in the last few months, looking back I really didn't post anything since August 06.

Well, September was a black month with Peter Brock dying. I'm still saddened by him going, forget his motor racing achievements, he was just a great guy, and his outlook on life really helped me when I had my transplant a couple of years ago - I was constantly thinking "Brocky Thoughts". Anyway, it's a bit late, but here's to you Brocky - you're still missed.

On a slightly lighter note, we bought a house last week - it's a proper house - not a Townhouse, so we will actually have room to do stuff, and we now have a front and backyard... Wow.

Anyway, we're now cleaning out our place - hopefully settlement is on the 5th February.

It's been a while... yea yea I know... I was sick as a dog last week, with some sort of rogue cold, so I couldn't be buggered typing, anyway I'm back and running on most cylinders. I'm chomping back on the vitamin c's and on anti biotic's... hooray! Xander & I had a "men only" day yesterday, which was good fun, we did men things - drank beer, picked up chicks and the rest of it... he yelled at me a couple of times, but we're still mates which is good. Big cat may be stalking western Sydney

It has long been considered a rural myth but scientists are examining new evidence that a large cat - potentially a jaguar - is thriving in some parts of New South Wales.

There are now 220 sightings of a big cat in the western Sydney suburbs around the Hawkesbury.

Scientist Rob Close, from the University of Western Sydney, says paw marks indicate there is strong

evidence it may be an exotic cat species.

"There are some big paw marks that have been identified that have been identified as panther identifications," he said.

A large number of domestic animals, including goats and dogs have been savaged in the area.

Resident Michael Williams says the kills are too big to be the work of a domestic dog or cat.

"We're dealing with an animal that's eating out 20 to 40 kilograms in a sitting," he said.

The State Government is examining the data.

Doris Blinman is positive that panthers were living on her 20-acre property in Kangaroo Valley and had been since the 1950s.

The 86-year-old, who is well known in the community from her activities with the CWA and the Kangaroo Valley Historical Society, regularly saw and heard the panthers around her house until she moved to Mittagong four years ago.

"I've been six foot away from them, looking through the kitchen door."

She saw two different panthers around her house and could tell them apart because one had a thicker tail. They both were at least six feet in length, with a three-foot long tail.

How cool? I've heard rumours before about panthers been let out when the US soldiers were in Oz... Ya never know!

I'm really pumped about going to Billy... I burnt all his albums for the car, but I've decided to re-do them, so last night I started the loooooooong process of it. The only other band I've done that for is of course The Beatles. For me though (when I take on a project like this) I don't just burn the songs album by album, no that's too easy and boring. If I have demo versions of songs, etc then I like to do my own Anthology if you will. Everything is in order, so the demo first, the released song later on (not too close mind you). These are all first put into an Excel or Word document then cross examined to make sure everything is in order. After the songs are burnt, I then colour code the songs for each CD I burn. As I said before, I went nuts with The Beatles a few years back - although it was on 9 tapes, I had speeches, demo tracks and the released songs as well - I was and still very proud of that, I just need to transpose that all onto CD's for the modern age! So Billy's getting a makeover - so far I've just done 100 songs in my Excel spreadsheet...

Finally... The end of the week.... As you can see... I'm pretty chuffed.

It's my sister-in-law's engagement party tomorrow, so I'm sure it's going to be a splendid time.

It's been cold and wet in the highlands, I don't mind the rain, but the cold is really getting to me... A couple of days ago it was 5 degrees at about 8:30am... Argghhh my hands nearly got frostbite...

An update on Xander man, he's doing so very well, and is smiling and laughing nearly all the time, it's such a nice thing when he smiles at you - cause you know it's genuine happiness - he sees you = smile. He went for his first swimming lesson last Wednesday - he didn't smile that much then... but he'll get used to it - he adapts to change pretty well.

Last week was weird to say the least... Without going into details, Xander wasn't the best in the bowel department - so of course we were quite worried about him, so a trip to the doctor was in order - to cut a long story short, he was put in overnight into hospital for observation on our request - the doc thought it unnecessary - and of course miracles of miracles he was all better the next day! Gotta love kids!

I've always loved the song TNK - it used to freak me out when I was a kid cause I knew it dealt with drugs and the "seagull" sounds didn't help either - none the less great song from the greatest group ever!

Cow fighting is a traditional Swiss event which determines the leader of the herd. Unlike bullfighting, wherein humans goad bulls into charging, the cows fight each other in a series of elimination rounds.

The Swiss state of Valais hosts an annual tournament known as "Combats de reines" ("Combat of the Queens"), which began in the 1920's and has drawn as many as 50,000 spectators in a year. The winner is called "La Reine des Reines" ("the queen of queens") and increases dramatically in worth.

The cows come from the local Hérens breed. Since females are generally less aggressive than bulls, the animals tend to be less inclined to fight. With their horns blunted, the fights often become nothing more than a pushing event. Any cow that backs down from a fight is eliminated until one cow is left standing in the ring. It sometimes happens that the cows in a fight refuse to engage in physical contact with each other at all.

"It's been a long time, now I'm coming back home..." It has been a while since I last posted, and I'm going to try to update more frequently. It's just that it's been so damn hectic at the moment I really don't have time (or the patience) to sit down and type down what I did today. But anyway, let's try and start fresh shall we? I was crook as a dog last week - I had a constant headache and just feeling sick, so I had an extra long weekend last week. Feeling much better now though, which is great news for all concerned. Political turmoil here in Australia with the new leadership debacle - it makes me laugh, all the news and current affairs programs are running polls on whether you believe Howard or Costello. Shock! Horror! A pollie may have lied... give me a break, anyone who believes politicians in the first place needs their head checked!

I'm looking forward to the weekend - argh, I just need to veg at home - though I know I probably won't.
We had a nice day for Jen's birthday (holiday Monday) - Jen sweeped up a booty and a half! She got a new Sony video camera - so we're now going nuts with making videos.

Mile High is back on TV - yay! Such a great TV show, now I just have to wait for Season 6 of The Sopranos to come back on... Although I am now watching Season 5 on DVD, so at least I can get my fix that way.

Christ it's been cold each morning - we're hitting about 0 degrees each morning...

I tried to install the new version of Windows yesterday - Windows Vista. OH. MY. GOD! I have never installed & re-installed windows so many times during one day - I think in total it was 5 times, I didn't finish the last install till 1am this morning.

There are two birds I will not tolerate:

Pigeons - rats with wings, gutter birds, flying parasites
Crows - EVIL!

Why pigeons - I hate rats, so to me it's a natural progression - it freaked the hell out of me when we went to Venice and St. Marks Square flooded and all these tourists were playing in the water - splashing it in each other's faces.. urgh... For starters the water is pretty much sewerage anyway - but it also has pigeon crap in it! I mean would you play in rat infested water? Anyway, so I hate pigeons with a passion - Central Railway in Sydney is the worst - I propose we bring hawks into Sydney so they can take out the rats... Crows - I maintain each time you go for a drive in a car - esp. a long one, there is a crow per person waiting for you... Check it out when you go for a trip down the highway, Road Crows are waiting for you to break down and peck your eyes out, as per The Omen. There are a different variety of Crows:

Road Crows - mentioned above and the most evil, scavengers of the highways
Sign Crows - Sentries for the Road Crows
Fence Crows - Not to be as worried about - they prey upon animals more than humans, but when times get tough, not to be under estimated.
City Crows - they are not a problem, but still are evil
Suburban Crows - not to be worried unless they become House Crows
House Crows - they're in your house, they will never leave... when you asleep will peck your eyes out - move house

Never under estimate crows, hard to kill - very smart.

I've had a request to get my blog updated - so here it is... I've been flat out - This weekend was pretty full on - we had both BBQ's on both days - both sets of families were here for a birthday celebration - I'm so popular. Xander is really changing a lot, it's quite astonishing how much he has changed in the last 2 months, he's now smiling and laughing a lot more and is now recognising both of us and the various family members more as well.

I've been thinking of John Lennon recently - I just wonder what he would've done or his thoughts during this time of terroism... "this-ism, that-ism, is-m, is-m, is-m", especially if he was still living in NYC John was one of those guys who really had no idea who he was, and spent all of his life trying to work that out - I hope had he still been alive today he would've found himself eventually. But there is no denying that when he was alive he was very mixed up human being, which is understandable considering how he grew up. I'm not going to go into his history - if you want to do that just Google his name and I'm sure you'll be able to get a life story. My point though is that even though he said and done stupid things and could be a big hypocrite - I mean look at his song "Working Class Hero", he was the most middle-class Beatle, and had a pretty good life in general, he genuinely thought he was doing what was right, and it was his job to do something worthwhile since he was a well known figure. Anyway back to my original point - I wonder what he'd be doing today in the current political climate, an activist or embarrassing like Paul...

Jesus I'm sore... I just came back from the doctor, I had my flu vax today which wasn't too bad - in fact I can't feel it all because I've had stuff burnt off my back and arms (freezed off). Ouch.

Well tomorrow's ANZAC day. Not that I REALLY have any historical connection with tomorrow as my parents, etc all lived overseas, and were occupied and therefore fought for the enemy, but I am an Australian and should be (which I am) very proud of the not just the soldiers of WW1 but all wars - although don't get me started on this so-called "war on terror" anyway, that's not for here, and besides it's not the soldiers fault they're over there is it Mr Howard? Grrrr, he vexes me greatly.
On a lighter note, the Roosters play the Dragons tomorrow... argghhhh I hope we win... *sigh*

Not much sleep last night - Xander had a shit night last night, but that's to be expected. *yawn* I want to learn HTML - I'm wanting to make my own websites, but I can't work out the best way to learn - book or online... A Romanian man needed some help after his 'great idea' started to feel not so great. He had superglued his condom to his penis. The 43-year-old father-of-five told doctors he and his wife didn't want any more children. Their obvious solution was to start using condoms, but the condoms Nicolae Popovici's wife bought were a bit 'roomy'.

The couples solution for this small problem was not to buy new condoms that did fit, but to make the big ones fit. One way or another.

They used superglue to glue the condom to the man's penis. This did not only solve the size-issue, but they could also re-use the condoms, so they thought.

After sex, the couple realised the condom was stuck and wouldn't come off. After trying everything they could think off (and these people are resourceful as you may have noticed) Nicolae went to the local medical clinic for help.

One of the nurses said: "He even said that he thought the condom could be used several times and that he wanted it stuck on his penis so he could use it again later. We barely managed to remove it in the end."

Well, Easter has come and gone... Nice weekend I must say. We went and saw Jamie Cullum last Monday - Jen love's him, and I guess out of the two Jamie's (Oliver) I prefer her to like this Jamie. We went to the State Theatre, and barring one mishap and ending up in Darlinghurst the night went very smoothly And for someone (me) who's not a huge fan - I never actually listened to his stuff - I was pleasantly suprised.. some og his songs were pretty ordinary, but all in all I give it a big thumbs up.

Bigs bunny: monster rabbit devours English veggie plots

LONDON (AFP) - In a tale reminiscent of the last Wallace and Gromit movie, furious villagers in northeast England have hired armed guards to protect their beloved communal vegetable gardens from a suspected monster rabbit.

Leeks, Japanese onions, parsnips and spring carrots have all been ripped up and devoured by the mystery were-rabbit -- prompting the 12 allotment holders in Felton, north of Newcastle, to hire two marksmen with air rifles and orders to shoot to kill.

"It is a massive thing. It is a monster. The first time I saw it, I said: 'What the hell is that?'" the Northumberland Gazette newspaper quoted local resident Jeff Smith, 63, as saying on its website (www.northumberlandtoday.co.uk).

He claims to have seen the black and brown rabbit -- with one ear bigger than the other -- about two months ago, and at least three fellow allotment holders say they have seen it as well.

"I have seen it and it is bigger than a normal rabbit. It's eating all our crops and we grow the best stuff here," said retired miner George Brown, 76, quoted by the domestic Press Association news agency.

Smith could not be reached for comment Friday, but his mother told AFP that the hare-raising story is true -- and no less an authority than the British Rabbit Council said it was credible.

"Certain breeds do grow very big, like the Continental Giant" which can be 66 centimetres (26 inches) in length or more, a spokesman for the Nottinghamshire-based council, which represent rabbit breeders, told AFP.

In the last hit movie featuring Wallace and his dog Gromit, the two cartoon characters battled a monster rabbit that was cutting a swathe of destruction through locals' prize vegetable plots.

What a crap weekend.
First the Roosters lose against Manly - and we went all the way into enemy territory. Secondly I found our cat, Seuss dead on Sunday.
He was missing since Friday, and I saw him Sunday morning when I was doing the shopping. Don't really know what killed him, the vet reckons a car... The whole thing sucked cause I had to wrap him up, and he was stiff as a board... He got a lot of flack Seuss, but he was a good cat.
So here's to you Seuss...

My three week break is over. I go back to work tomorrow. It's been interesting, and I am so glad that I was home for that amount of time - getting to know the newest member of the family was paramount in my mind. Xander's grown so much, he's three weeks old tomorrow, and it's quite amazing how he's developed in such a short period of time.
It's been a rollercoaster of emotions, there's a line in a Coldplay song: "Nobody said it was easy, No one ever said it would be this hard" I think pretty much sums up my feelings... I was under no illusions that having a baby was going to be a walk in the park, but no matter what anyone says no one can ever really show you what it will be like. The worst feeling is frustration, I can handle most other things, but it's when you feel like you're missing all the signals and you feel like screaming your lungs out that you see how demanding it is - and what magnifies this feeling - you guessed it, lack of sleep! Oh well, it has been fun as well - most of it has. All I do is stop, look at Xander and remember he's so very reliant on us, that I have to do my best for his sake. The best thing - watching him sleep, he's so cute, he sleeps with his hands on his side and his mouth open... awwww.

My NRL tipping - FULL CARD!!! You little Ronnie Coote! 7 out of 7. Such an achievement, considering I started the season with 2 correct tips...

Well off to get ready - early night nose to the grindstone, etc, etc.

Well Xander is now just on 10 days old, things are going well - a bit of a steep learning curve, but hey, we knew that from the start. The one thing that's hard for me is his crying, the normal everyday cry/whinge is fine, but the SREAMING one really upsets me, unfortunately I think I'm taking a Xander's crying a little to personally - so Jen says anyway. Not suprisingly we are both tired, but so far we're coping, we do split tasks, Jen feeds I put Xander to bed - seems to be working.

This is me now...

I had to buy a new modem today - my old one got fried during a storm yesterday... So damn angry about that...

Anyway I'm going to get ready for bed...

ALEXANDER MURKO ARRIVES 6th MARCH 2006!

After such a long wait, I am so pleased to annouce our Alexander has arrived! I am so damn chuffed. It's funny, but the minute see this little being - "I am God - I have created life!"you puff out your chest, walk around with this air of confidence of "Hey I'm a father, don't mess with me".

Having said that - what a learning curve, you think you can crush or break this being just by picking him up, but you see the mid-wives pick him up and you think, hey not so fragile, but you're still talking about your baby, you're scared shitless!

I've gotta go - see MY son!

MY FIRST HEADING!

I just thought I haven't put a heading for any of my blogs. So here it is. I'm watching the Winter Olympics opening ceremony, and I must say, it's as boring as usual. No offence - I know there are people out there who enjoy it, but Christ all these bloody fruity dancers. Anyway I'm just watching all the athletes coming into the stadium, we're up to Poland, so I'll wait till Slovenija comes and criticize them and then wait for the 10 seconds that it takes for a F1 Ferrari to do a couple of donuts.

We have finally done the finishing touches on the Baby's room - the Wallpaper is up, and I must say the room looks very cool!

We're almost ready for the new arrival, my prediction is next weekend, Poppy thinks the 16th, my brother thinks Valentine's Day and Mummy thinks after the 20th - let the games begin!

BTW - I don't know why the font is so screwy at the begining - I've tried changing it several times - no more headings!

Busy weekend just passed, Saturday we painted the baby's room, which was nice, sort of puts everything in its place - finally! We had Daddy & Poppy paining the room, while Mummy relaxed and Nana painting then delegating the work over to Daddy & Poppy.

Sunday I finally washed my car - it's only taken me 6 months... anyway the car's looking a treat, baby seat in tow. I also formatted my computer, it's running at it former best, so you have a happy Peter.

Ok, it's been a while since I've last entered into the blog - to be quite honest, couldn't be rat arsed. With all the happenings at Ascot, I wasn't in a mood to sit in front of the computer and re-count the events. Anyhoo, Jen's still got Bell's Palsy, and I must say, she's coping with it well - even though she has monstrous headaches every now and then - but as we keep saying, it could be a lot worse. We see the quack tomorrow to make sure all is fine - with her and the baby. Speaking of people doing it tough, Peet, I know you're reading this - I hope everything is going well with you mum... Three weeks to go until the due date, it's come so quickly, we're off to Campbelltown one more time to get last minute baby things, I must say it's good fun, we have the bassinet in the room, the baby seat is in the car - it's hard sometimes to get your head around that we're having another person live with us for a long time, either way we're both looking forward to it.

Geeze, you'd think we ran over a Chinaman the way we've been going. No sooner do we come back from Avoca, then we have to go and visit the hospital again! This time it's Jen - she's got something called Bell's Palsy which is where your facial muscles go mad... She looks like she's had a stroke... We of course a freaking out, I took Jen to emergency at midnight, and got her admited around 2am... But she's a real trooper and taking it in her stride. Thankfully it's not a perminate thing and she should get back to normal in the next month or so...
Anyway I'm not in a typing mood, so I'll put some photos up from Avoca...

I've been reading The Vampire chronicle s again, and I'm starting with the first one Interview With The Vampire. In my opinion the weakest book of the series, although I haven't read the last 5 books. I don't like the character Louis much, he's pretty weak, but the books aren't bad.

Argh, what a week - just been so busy with odds and ends... I'm feeling very deflated (not sure if that's the word I'm looking for) today, and I've noticed (as I'm sure it is with many people) that the music I'm listening to is reflecting my moods... I've gone quite skitz that way - Beatles in the car, they always seem to put me in a good mood, having something like Day Tripper or Eight Days A Week is always a good way to start the day. But now I'm also tending to listen to Elton John (which I'm not a huge fan of) and also The Doors are getting a look in as well, then it's also Portishead thrown in for good measure. It's raining a heap as well - that doesn't help my mood either.
We're all going to Avoca Beach on Thursday for a bit of R&R - so we're all looking forward to that.
I just thought - I could go for a good game of Zero Hour... Fight, Win, Prevail!

Variety reports that talks have begun at 20th Century Fox TV to revive Matt Groening's animated series Futurama, which takes place in the next millennium. The studio is in early discussions to put Futurama back in production and create a limited number of episodes of the Emmy Award-winning series -- although it's too soon to tell where those episodes might end up, adds the trade. While reports of Futurama's return have been loosely discussed in the past, this is the first time we've heard word of Fox taking an interest.

The final original episode of Futurama aired on Fox in August 2003. But since then, the series has found new life -- and fans -- via DVD releases and repeatedly high-rated airings on the Cartoon Network. Futurama remains popular enough that Comedy Central even stole away off-net rights to the show's repeats late last year; it will switch to the comedy channel in 2008.

The Christmas tree has been dismantled, and it seems kind of empty in the room now. So I guess Christmas is officially over now in the Murko household.
Work was pretty good today - if I had to start the first day of work for the year then today was a good day. Nothing really to comment about, just that it was a good day.
The arrival of the baby is around 7 weeks away - it coming upon so quickly - we have nearly cleaned the room that shall house the youngin', but there's still a shitload still to do. We still have to do the painting, but I'm sure i'll get that done - in due course.
I bought myself a new shaver today - although I haven't actually received it yet, I am very pleased with my purchase. I got a Braun 8595 and it's a self cleaner - how impressive. Plus I saved about $200, so that makes me even happier.
There's a show about the Hoover Dam which I want to watch so I'm going now. G'night.

Zero hour... Well, the holidays are almost over... Back to work tomorrow... it had to happen sometime I guess... Hence the evil reign of Holiday Beard will be over, I know it sounds like I was forced to grow this beard, but with just over a week, my face is getting itchy, and eating food is becoming less and less dignified. But when you shave nearly every day it's nice to put the razor away - Jen's against me shaving it of, and I appreciate the nice words, but it'll be clean shaven Pete in about half an hour.

We've been watching a heap of M*A*S*H (I got Series 5 & 6 for Jen for Christmas) - I was never a huge fan of M*A*S*H, but I must say that after watching 5 series and just starting the 6, it's not a bad series. So, the first day of the year is almost over, and for various reasons "lets hope it's a good year, with plenty of cheer..." So, my silent prayer goes out to two people who are in their time of need...

We watched King Kong the other day... It was a good movie - on the PeterScale of movies I would give it a 3.5 out of 5. Good movie, just went on for a bit long - 3 hours, hence me deducting 0.5 of a point for the length. I felt sorry for the ape, it's like in The Simpsons Episode where Homer and Bart are watching Gorilla the Conqueror, and Homer is crying at the end, saying "It's so unfair, Just because he's different..."
Anyway, speaking of beasts - here's our beast, Seuss, this him wanting to go outside so he wasn't happy....

Ahhh 1am Pete! I can't believe I'm still up - considering I was up at 5 this morn! One day of 2005 to go, wow what a year!
We bought the Pram - or should I say Jogger today, same diff I guess (well technically we bought, but in the end we get the money back from the parents - so it's their gift to the baby). Also got the baby monitor. It's really starting to hit home now that the baby is just around the corner... I say baby's foot moving around just before, it's so amazing watching it! Something as a guy I will never comprehend - a living being living inside you, crazy shit!

Finally - Christmas shopping done! Thank Christ that's over and done with. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas time and all the warm and fuzziness that it brings, I love giving the presents and of course the receiveing, in fact I'm listening to a christmas CD right now, but I hate the actual shopping and spending the money. We went to Campbeltown yesterday and in particular Macarthur Square - crap, there are sooooooooo many carnies there, it freaks me out and how many cabbage smelling, 6-fingered, inbred freaks there are in one area! I think they can smell/sence that you're not a carnie cause they just stare and grunt at you - if you've ever seen Shaun of the Dead (and I don't know if this is in all Zombie movies) but they can sence if you're still human, then they attack you - very slowly, well it's exactly like that with carnies.

This really isn't my first post - I've done this so many times then deleted them all - I'm really no good at talking about nothing, but anyway will give it another go
OK, good topic for a first post - The baby is coming soon - we just booked in for this weekend to do "Calm Birthing" when I say "we" I actually mean Jen, no hard work on my behalf - I did the hard yards 7 months ago. It's amazing to hear people (in particular women) get pissed off when I say that.. King mixer am I!
I must say though, I am most excited on the impending arrival - Jen's a tad freaked out which is very understandable - I'd be shitting myself too if I knew what was going to happen in the not to distant future.
Well, I'd better get to work, much to do - little time to do it in...
